Ramadan is a spiritual time of fasting and self-reflection; this session will review what Ramadan is and what a typical day looks like for someone observing fasting during this month. To empower and equip PSWs to provide evidence-informed, person-centred continence care, Conestoga College and Essity developed two data-drive online modules with case studies, interactive features, and rich media.

To empower and equip UCPs to provide evidence-informed, person-centred dementia care to Canada’s growing population of seniors living with dementia, an online course was developed and delivered by the Canadian Institute for Seniors Care. UCP and employer surveys demonstrated that it is both an effective and acceptable educational resource.

Raised by a poor single mom in a small city, Amanda Lindhout escaped the violence of her childhood home by paging through issues of National Geographic magazine and imagining herself in its exotic locales. In this session, we will introduce the HumanGood incubator program with Cubigo that took place at Las Ventanas, an HumanGood community in Las Vegas. We will cover the whole program: from its conception and objectives, to the roll-out and outcomes. The incubator program is an innovation project, where Las Ventanas hosted Cubigo, a cloud-based integrated platform for senior living, for 3-weeks on-site, with a Cubigo team member living in the community, and interacting with all the key stakeholders. The objective of the program is to improve the resident and team member experience at Las Ventanas, by working on 3 key tracks: Product, People & Processes. The program roll-out and its outcomes will be presented through concrete examples of how feedback was gathered and this information used effectively to positively impact the end-user; from improving internal processes at the community, to product enhancements and customized content. We’ll round up the session by sharing the key areas to focus on and challenges to take note of when designing an innovation partnership, and the benefits of these partnerships for both parties. |
